DTA survey raises cash for charity

NZDF personnel completing the Learner Profiles Survey 2015 have raised more than $1700 for the NZ Fallen Heroes Trust.

Representatives of DTA and the Fallen Heroes Trust receive a cheque from Ordnance Developments.

Mr Eddie Daley from Ordnance Developments presents a cheque for the Fallen Heroes Trust to Warrant Officer Mick O’Carroll, Dr Brian Young, Director DTA and James Kerry, Research Leader.

The survey, conducted by the Defence Technology Agency (DTA) on behalf of the NZ Defence College, tracks the use of technology for training in the NZDF and how our personnel use technology outside of work.

Ordnance Developments Limited, suppliers of ammunition to the NZDF for more than 40 years, generously sponsored the survey to the tune of $1.50 for every response. This resulted in a donation of $1782.00 to the Trust.

James Kerry, Research Leader at DTA described the response to the survey as remarkable, over 40% of those receiving the survey responded.

The NZ Fallen Heroes Trust (http://fallenheroes.org.nz) provides funding for projects that make a real difference to the lives of military veterans and their families. It provides support to families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and assists those with physical or mental injuries as a result of their deployed service.
